Prof. Ali Reza Kamali

University of Cambridge, UK

Biography: Ali Kamali is a Senior Researcher at the University of Cambridge, also a Double Hundred Distinguished Professor at the School of Metallurgy, Northeastern University (NEU), with a diverse research background spanning green materials synthesis, sustainability, electrochemistry, nanostructures and technology/knowledge transfer from academia to industry. As such, Ali conducts research mainly on developing green technologies for the sustainable production of advanced materials for energy and environmental applications, and has invented methods for green and low-cost production of materials such as graphene, nanodiamonds, silicon nanostructures, advanced metallic alloys, hydrogen, and clean technologies for converting waste plastic materials into nanostructured materials to be used in energy storage devices, and also water purification applications. He also serves as Director, Chief Scientist, or Consultant to a number of advanced materials companies. Ali has published more than 150 scientific articles and 50 patents, and received several awards, including the Khwarizmi International Award, National Expert Award, NSFC Excellent Young Scientist Award, and The Rose Award of Shenyang. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry.

Prof. Yang Liu

Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China

Biography: Yang Liu is currently a professor of School of Materials Science and Engineering, Huazhong University of Science & Technology, China. He received his PhD in Condensed Matter Physics from CentraleSupélec, Université Paris-Saclay in 2016. Prior to joining the faculty at Huazhong University of Science & Technology in 2021, he was a postdoctoral fellow with Prof. Qing Wang at The Pennsylvania State University. He has published more than 30 first-author or corresponding author papers in Nature, Nature Materials(3), and Nature Communications. He has received MRS postdoc award, the runners-up of FECS APS March Meeting Mini Grants, the Postdoctoral Excellence in Research Award. He became a 2022 Fellow of IAAM. His current research interests lie in physics and engineering of dielectric and ferroelectric polymers and nanocomposites for electronic, electromechanical and energy devices.

Prof. Kejia Zhuang

Wuhan University of Technology, China

Biography: Kejia Zhuang obtained his PhD in Mechanical Science and Engineering on hig-ficiency machining of aeroengine turbine-used Inconel 718 alloy at Huazhong University of Science and Technology. He was recruited into the Hubei Digital Manufacturing Key Laboratory of Wuhan University of Technology (China). It was there that he founded a branch of his research team to carry on the topic related to cutting mechanism of dfclt-to-cut materials. During this period, he has undertaken some research projects. To broaden the research perspective, Kejia Zhuang had paid his visit to Lund University (Sweden) and Linkbping University (Sweden) in 2019-2020. He develops a systematic approach that incorporates classical cutting theories with finite element method (FEM) and itelligent algorithms. He also carries out fundamental researches on material flow characterization, multi-physics field modeling and micro-structure evolution, achieving ultimately the prediction and control of functional relability and surface integrity for critical parts. These studies have enabled him to (co-)author over 40 publications on internatinally famous journals like JMSE- JMSE, WEAR, JMPT and IJMS. These achievements have earmned him the title of communication review expert at National Natural Science Foundation of China and jourmal review expert for known joumals such as ASME-JMSE, WEAR and Proceedings of the British Mechanical Science Association.
