Biography: Ali Kamali is a Senior Researcher at the University of Cambridge, also a Double Hundred Distinguished Professor at the School of Metallurgy, Northeastern University (NEU), with a diverse research background spanning green materials synthesis, sustainability, electrochemistry, nanostructures and technology/knowledge transfer from academia to industry. As such, Ali conducts research mainly on developing green technologies for the sustainable production of advanced materials for energy and environmental applications, and has invented methods for green and low-cost production of materials such as graphene, nanodiamonds, silicon nanostructures, advanced metallic alloys, hydrogen, and clean technologies for converting waste plastic materials into nanostructured materials to be used in energy storage devices, and also water purification applications. He also serves as Director, Chief Scientist, or Consultant to a number of advanced materials companies. Ali has published more than 150 scientific articles and 50 patents, and received several awards, including the Khwarizmi International Award, National Expert Award, NSFC Excellent Young Scientist Award, and The Rose Award of Shenyang. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry.
Biography: Yang Liu is currently a professor of School of Materials Science and Engineering, Huazhong University of Science & Technology, China. He received his PhD in Condensed Matter Physics from CentraleSupélec, Université Paris-Saclay in 2016. Prior to joining the faculty at Huazhong University of Science & Technology in 2021, he was a postdoctoral fellow with Prof. Qing Wang at The Pennsylvania State University. He has published more than 30 first-author or corresponding author papers in Nature, Nature Materials(3), and Nature Communications. He has received MRS postdoc award, the runners-up of FECS APS March Meeting Mini Grants, the Postdoctoral Excellence in Research Award. He became a 2022 Fellow of IAAM. His current research interests lie in physics and engineering of dielectric and ferroelectric polymers and nanocomposites for electronic, electromechanical and energy devices.
Biography: Jiang Guo is currently a professor at Dalian University of Technology. He received his Ph.D. from The University of Tokyo in 2013. After graduation, he joined RIKEN as a researcher. In 2015, he became a scientist in A*STAR (Agency for Science, Technology and Research). He was selected for the National Overseas High-level Talent Introduction Program-Youth Project, and the young top-notch talents and the "LiaoNing Revitalization Talents". His research interests include ultra precision machining, polishing, mechatronics, additive forging. His research work was highlighted in A*STAR Research. Currently, he has presided over 20 national projects such as , National Natural Science Foundation of China (General Program), National key research and development program, etc. He has won more than 20 domestic and international academic awards, presided over 6 achievements transformation projects, and participated in 2 achievements appraisal. He has published more than 80 journal papers in the top journals in mechanical engineering and holds more than 50 patents. He has been invited to give Plenary/Keynote speechs at domestic/international academic conferences for several times. He is currently a senior member of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, a member of the European Society for Precision Engineering and Nanotechnology (EUSPEN), the American Society for Precision Engineering (ASPE) and Asian Society for Precision Engineering and Nanotechnology (ASPEN), etc. He is also the reviewer for over 50 SCI journals. He serves on the editorial board and youth editorial board of several international journals and as a reviewer for over 50 international journals.

Biography: Shuang Ben is currently a professor in Shenyang Ligong University. She worked as a postdoctoral fellow in Beihang University from July, 2020 to July, 2023, and her co-supervisor was Prof. Mingjie Liu. And she as a Ph.D. student in Beihang University during 2014.09-2020.06, under the supervision of Prof. Kesong Liu. Her current scientific interests are focused on the design and fabrication of multifunctional integrated materials with special wettability and bioinspired flexible-response materials under the conditions of external stimuli. She has published 16 high-level SCI papers with a total impact factor of 217; 8 national invention patents have been authorized. And during her master's and doctoral studies, she received multiple awards and honors such as the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology Scholarship, Beihang University President Scholarship, and Beihang University Outstanding Academic Paper. Biography: Mingyue Wen is currently an associate professor and master's supervisor at Shenyang Ligong University. She obtained his Ph.D. from the Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences. His research focuses on the service performance of high-temperature alloys and their special processing and preparation technologies. He has published 6 SCI papers in authoritative journals such as Materials Characterization and Journal of Alloys and Compounds, and holds 2 authorized invention patents. She has led several provincial and ministerial-level vertical projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China Youth Project, the Natural Science Foundation Youth Project of the Liaoning Provincial Department of Education, and the General Program of the China Postdoctoral Fund. Additionally, she has signed multiple horizontal cooperation projects with the Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and companies such as Liming Aircraft Engine Company.
Biography: Yuhan Wu received his PhD degree in material physics from Ilmenau University of Technology in 2021. Since 2022, he has been an associate professor at Shenyang University of Technology. His research focuses on novel electrochemical energy storage technologies, including Na/K/Ca-ion batteries, hybrid ion capacitors, and supercapacitors. He has published more than 20 peer-review papers as the first author/corresponding author (>1 k citations, h-index 21) and 2 chapters. He was selected as an Emerging Investigator of Mol. Syst. Des. Eng. (The Royal Society of Chemistry). He is a member of the young editorial board member of Chin. J. Struct. Chem., Tungsten, Carbon Neutralization, etc.
Biography: Qing Lan, graduated from Northeastern University with Materials Processing Engineering Major in 2020, the main research content involves the solidification process of Aluminum alloys, including: (1) the microstructures and mechanical properties of Aluminum alloys, like Al-Si cast alloys and 6xxxx wrought aluminum alloys; (2) the microstructures, corrosion behaviors, and discharge performances of Al-Mg-Sn alloys in salt or alkaline solution. 17 SCI papers have been published in journals such as Journal of Crystal Growth, Materials Chemistry and Physics, Corrosion Science, Journal of Magnesium and Alloys, Materials & Design et al, as well as twice oral presentations at PRICM10 and ICM6 conferences.
Biography: Dr. Zihui Zhai graduated from Dalian University of Technology and joined the School of Mechanical Engineering of Shenyang University in November 2020. Currently, She is a lecturer in metal materials. The research direction is energy electrochemical energy storage materials. Mainly focused on metal macrocyclic compounds and metal-organic frame materials and other electrocatalyst precursors, the preparation of metal-nitrogen-carbon non-precious metal electrocatalysts through molecular self-assembly and controlled pyrolysis. She has published a total of four papers and one book chapter, and authorized three Chinese invention patents.
Biography: Dr. Feng Liu received his PhD degree in material science from Northeastern University in 2022, under the supervision of Prof. Xudong Sun. He was also a PhD student in University of Technology (Sep, 2019 to Jan 2021), Australia. Since 2023, he has been a lecture at Shenyang University of Technology. His research focuses on the synthesis and application on low-dimensional h-BN materials and nano layered ceramics. He has hosted 3 projects sourced from Liaoning province and enterprise, and has published more than 15 peer-review papers.
